Why should I choose cast acrylic over extruded?

Casting yields a harder and sturdier product than extruding; cast acrylic is less likely to bend, chip, or melt during milling.  Cast acrylic has excellent optical properties, and offers outstanding resistance to long-term sun exposure or weathering.  Cast acrylic rods and tubes are also not susceptible to the ridges that can often be seen along the length of extruded rods and tubes.  The process of casting acrylic rods and tubes is more labor-intensive than extrusion, resulting in a higher-quality product that is thoroughly inspected at each stage of manufacturing.
